A practical guide
Get the text without converting the page design.
- Select a PDF with selectable text.
- Extract the text and review the page-separated result.
- Copy or download TXT, then verify important passages in the PDF.
Try this example
Extract text from a searchable six-page meeting pack and check the agenda headings and action items against the source before sharing the TXT file.
Before
- Selectable PDF text
After
- Plain text .txt
Before you start: The output contains text, not original fonts, images or layout; scanned pages are not recognized.
Continue with the source PDFWhat you get
Extract embedded text into a TXT file. Scanned pages need OCR; source reading order may differ from the visible layout.
Limits and important details
Maximum 10 MiB input, 200 pages and 4 MiB text output. Scanned documents without a text layer report an error instead of a fake successful extraction. Reading order, columns and fonts may not match visual layout. This is not OCR or PDF-to-Word.
Example
Extract text from a searchable report, review it in the result field and copy or download it. Original PDFs remain available after the text result.
