A practical guide

Prepare only the pages you mean to share.

Open the deliverable and review its page sequence.
Select the outdated cover or appendix by page position.
Remove the selections, then check the first and last pages of the new copy.

Try this example

A 10-page proposal has an old cover at position 1 and a superseded appendix at positions 9-10. Remove 1, 9-10 and check that the proposal now opens on its current summary.

Before you start: Page positions start at 1 and may differ from printed labels. Removing pages does not sanitize metadata or hidden content; inspect the copy before sharing.

Questions and answers

How do I delete pages from a PDF?: Add the PDF and enter the pages to remove, for example 2, 4-6, or tick them in the page preview. Then save the new copy.
Can I delete every page?: No. At least one page must remain.
Why are the page numbers different from the printed ones?: The tool uses page positions, which start at 1 at the first page. A printed label such as "i" or "12" can be on a different position.
Does my original file change?: No. Your original stays available in the workspace, and you save the result as a new copy. The file stays on your device.
Does this remove hidden text or metadata?: No. Removing pages is not secure redaction or metadata sanitization. Inspect the copy before you share it, and use Redact PDF or Remove PDF Metadata when you need that.

If it did not work

It asks for a password: Password-protected PDFs are not supported. Open it with Unlock PDF first, then delete the pages from the unlocked copy.
You removed the wrong page: Run the tool again on the original file and check the positions in the page preview.
It does not accept the selection: Your selection probably removes every page. Remove fewer pages, or use Extract PDF Pages to keep only the pages you need.
Bookmarks, form fields or signatures are missing: Copying pages does not guarantee that bookmarks, interactive forms or digital signatures are kept. Check the copy, and sign the final version after you remove pages.
It says the file is too big: The page shows a limit of 60 MB for a single file. Split the PDF into parts and delete pages from each part.
