A practical guide

Select an axis and review the mirrored pages.

  1. Choose the PDF and select left-to-right or top-to-bottom reflection.
  2. Create the mirrored copy.
  3. Inspect text, labels and page orientation against the original before use.

Try this example

Choose left-to-right reflection for a single-page reference, then compare the output with the source to ensure the intended side is mirrored.

Before you start: Mirroring reflects text as well as images; it is not rotation. Links are kept; comments and form fields are imprinted or removed, and metadata/bookmarks are not preserved.

Questions and answers

How do I mirror a PDF?
Add the PDF, pick left-to-right or top-to-bottom reflection and create the copy. Then compare it with the original.
Is mirroring the same as rotating?
No. Rotation turns the page. Mirroring reflects it, so text and images appear reversed.
Is the text mirrored too?
Yes. Text is reflected together with the images.
Does the page size change?
No. The visible page size stays the same.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Your files stay on your device and are processed in your browser.

If it did not work

The text is unreadable
That is expected, because the text is reflected too. Read the original, or use Rotate PDF if you only need to turn the page.
It says the file is too big
For this layout the limit is 10 MiB and 200 source pages, and the result can be up to 40 MiB. Split the PDF and mirror each part.
A signed PDF or an XFA form is refused
These files are not accepted. Mirror the unsigned file.
The wrong side got mirrored
Left-to-right and top-to-bottom give different results. Go back to the original file and try the other direction.
Bookmarks and document properties are missing
Metadata and bookmarks are not preserved in the mirrored copy. Add them again if you need them.
