A practical guide

Deliver the relevant section as one file.

  1. Open one PDF and inspect its page preview.
  2. Select the document positions to keep, using the example below as a guide.
  3. Extract the pages, review the resulting PDF and download it.

Try this example

A 20-page project pack contains the approved schedule at positions 11-14. Extract 11-14 to produce a four-page schedule PDF, then check its first and last page against the source.

Before you start: The result is one PDF, not a ZIP of individual pages. Use Split PDF if the handoff needs separate files.

Create separate page files
What you get

One PDF containing the requested pages. Enter page numbers and inclusive ranges separated by commas. Page numbering starts at 1; these are document positions, not printed page labels.

Limits and important details

Pages appear in the requested order. Repeated page numbers are included only once. Ranges must run forwards and stay within the document. Scanned pages can be copied, but this operation does not recognize their text.

Example

Enter 1, 3-5 to keep four pages, or open Preview pages and tick the pages you want. Newly checked pages are appended to the selection order. Output order lets you change each selected page's position; the downloaded PDF follows that order. The original document is not modified.
